In Cambodian society, especially in rural areas, most girls do not have a high level of education. Some do not even finish high school and drop out of school to start working at a young age. This work should serve as an educational message.

“Women have the same right to higher education as men.”

I have witnessed injustices committed by people of all genders in one-on-one discussions, social media, and in person. I want to use my voice through art to spread awareness, advocate for gender equality, and support victims.

“Empowering women by showing their  bravery to fight for their freedom, reminding everyone that their voices truly matter.”

Drunk joy hides silent suffering

Digital illustration Origami
Sokkim is a multidisciplinary designer with a strong passion for illustration and visual story telling. Her work deals with culture, history, identity and evolving narratives

I create to uncover the stories often left untold and give voice to those affected in silence. Both women and men are impacted by alcohol abuse. Through this work, I hope to evoke empathy, reflection, and a sense of shared responsibility.

“The glass may sparkle, but the cost is carried in silence by others.”
